On Tuesday, October 27th the Saucon, Center Valley Rotary Club has the pleasure of hosting Dr. Christopher P. Borick, Professor of Political Science and Director of the Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion, to share his unique insights into our national, state and local elections. He is a nationally recognized public opinion researcher who has conducted over 350 large-scale public opinion surveys during the past quarter century.

This year, his time is in demand even more than usual, since PA is a crucial battleground swing state!  Dr. Borick is even getting calls from media around the world to weigh in on this November's election.  Join us for what promises to be an interesting and timely presentation. Here are the topics that Dr. Borick is likely to cover:

  • A bit of context about structural predictors of the election outcomes.
  • A brief look back to the polls in 2016 and methodological changes made in 2020.
  • A look at what the polls tell us in 2020.
  • The 2020 Electoral Math.
  • A quick look at the Congressional Elections.
  • "The Odds" as I see them.
